Have you ever thought of advertising your private land hunting leases in Texas? If so you should know a few things. With technology, it is easy and affordable to get the word out on your offerings and to get that word to the right people.

Just a few years ago, you were limited to two ways to get the news out that you were offering hunting leases in Texas. You could use word of mouth, where people spread the word for you, and that worked fairly well. But it usually limited to local people. The second method was to post an ad in one of the hunting magazines. For this method you need time and money.

For those print ads, by the time you wrote an offering and mailed it to the publisher and the ad was set up and went to press, months could pass by. Using paper magazines is still an option, and a good one, but you also have a third option now for advertising your hunting leases in Texas. And that is the Internet.

Advertising your offer on the Internet is drop dead easy. You do not need a lot of computer skills or web design skills. In most cases, you need only to know what you want to write.

Here is how it works: You simply find those websites that allow posting of offerings (and there are many of these online), you write up your offering including the species that you have available for harvesting, the size of the property, the cost (either per day or per season) and any other information that you feel would be helpful.

Using the Internet to advertise your hunting leases in Texas is perhaps the most affordable way to get the news out to a lot of interested hunters. It is also the quickest and easiest way to get the word out to those people who are interested in visiting and using your lands.

Before you post your ad, however, consider all the things that you want to say in it. The people who read these love details so give them what you can, and you should not be surprised if you are contacted fairly quickly. The vast majority of these websites are visited by active hunters who are always looking for hunting leases in Texas as well as for the other states.

If you prefer, another venue you have available are the online forums. These are not websites in the usual sense of the word, but rather active online communities where the visitors share information about the best hunting leases in Texas and other states. Most of these forums will happily allow you to post your offering for free.
